From passion to perfume - roughly speaking, this is the story of Gritti Venetia. The Italian brand harbours the expression of ancient art, which Alvise Gritti explored with curiosity in the 16th century, combined with his experiences on his numerous journeys between Venice and Constantinople. Of noble origin, merchant and diplomat, he had the idea of condensing the emotions he felt into something light and everlasting, namely perfume images expressed with precious perfume ingredients.

Today, Gritti Venetia is a family-run perfume house under the direction of Luca Gritti, the rebel of niche perfumery and the creative spirit behind the fragrances. Initially a successful manufacturer of high-end perfumes, he revolutionised the niche perfume business in 2009 with Gritti Venetia by giving it a touch of luxury: not only the highest selection of raw materials but also attention to every detail, from the handmade caps of the White Collection to the velvet boxes of Gritti Privé.
